he Next Step is a Canadian teen drama series shot in a reality television style. The show was created by Frank van Keeken. The series focuses on a group of dancers who attend The Next Step Dance Studio as they strive to win a series of dance competitions. It began airing on Family Channel on March 8, 2013. The series premiere had the largest audience of any series on the network, with 574,500 P2+ AMA viewers, and over one million P2+ viewers. This makes it the #1 show of the week in the 7PM time slot and the #3 show of the day for the target audience (K8-14), behind only by two episodes of Good Luck Charlie.

Family Channel announced on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, that the show was picked up for a second season which was filmed in Summer 2013. Season One premiered on March 7, 2013 on Family Channel which is only available in Canada. For UK viewers, The Next Step is on CBBC. The first series started on April 7, 2014, and the second series started on April 6, 2015.

The TV series The Next Step is filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Noah (potrayed by Myles Erlick) is a dancer who was in the J-Troupe in season two with Richelle but moved up to A-Troupe in season three with Richelle (until she lost to Max in the battle.) He was in a band with James in season two.
